Having read its detail, we felt the need to reply to correct some inaccuracies raised and provide some background information surrounding the issue with your proposed tenancy with us.

All tenancy applications are subject to contract and satisfactory references. An administration fee was paid to secure the property with us whilst we carried out our reference checks on the parties applying to rent the property. Unfortunately, as you know (and without providing the full detail on this platform) we uncovered issues with the application on your part and of that of the other applicant that wasn’t disclosed at the point of application. When we presented the uncovered information to the landlord, he asked us to withdraw from the application and re-market the property as he was not happy to proceed, given the new information.

Failure to provide full details of any potential issues will often lead to such an eventuality, which is why we ask for any information that could hamper an application to be disclosed before paying any administration fees to us. Whilst we sympathise with your situation, we had no other option but to withdraw from the application on this occasion given the information and facts uncovered by our reference procedure and as such retain the administration fee paid to us.
