There was a small deduction for cleaning of which the tenants held their hands up to. The bulk of the deduction was for a wash hand basin that had a hole broken in it. it unfortunately had to be replaced. It wasn't noted as broken with a hole from either the previous tenant, the inventory at handover and no reporting of the issue on email records whilst everything else has been. We don't like making deductions however damage must be paid for.
The fault wasn't with the cooker it was a complicated electrical supply issue compounded by the landlord wanting their own contractor to investigate and quote. Still not great but with external contractors our hands are sometimes tied.
