Costs have increased in the order of >30% or more, though the service hasn’t. It has reduced visibly! The Flats just don't seem looked after anymore, and they don't do a great job of cleaning.
I have had cowboy builders shatter roof tiles (causing water damage to the hallway roof). I had even challenged the scaffolders as I heard them do the damage. They of course told me “it wasn’t them, and it was like that when they got there” etc…. It then took many months for C&G to replace the tiles, so long that I lost count. In the meantime, water was coming into the hallway and dripping on the letter boxes. Apparently, the tiles were “hard to locate”, though every house and flat in the Manor Fields area seem to have the same ones???
I have had a very shoddy paint job to my windows. I even had to chase for that to be done (as they never did it first time round). Though that painting to the flats was rough! and made the properties woodwork look streaky. Honestly! you can see the original paintwork through it.
The post boxes have peeling plastic/paintwork and the carpet is coming up from the stairways (which I even have had to glue down with Bostik).
Courtney Green seem to be accepting the lowest quality quotes for work, and are extremely slow in following up on quality issues?
As I have used them as managing agents when renting, they have in the past obtained quotes for me to undertake works. Though when my tenants needed a bathroom window replaced, they didn’t appoint a contractor that could provide a fensa certificate. Unfortunately, I was none the wiser at the time, and assumed as managing agents they knew better.
They also recently locked the electricity meter and didn't provide me a key. They have stated that the electricity meter needs to be locked (which I totally agree), though it is up to me to obtain a key? Honestly, if I had had a key I wouldn't be complaining, though for
