So good to read that other Touchstone customer's are fustrated. The service we have received is the worst we have ever experienced. Faults at property before moved in, some were major. We have been here nearly 18 months, still the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System are faulty! Putting my family in danger and breaking the law. Burglar alarm faulty, water leaks, loose flooring etc.
Heating faulty,excessive heat in three rooms and no heat in others for more than 13months until it was finally looked by qualified engineers. It is now contrlable, but our utility bills for the first 18months are £4000!
We have had 6-8 letting agents, have dealt with managers, line managers and the Director of the now closed Leeds office; all were ineffectual, poor communicators and lacked knowledge of how to correct the issues.
There are two other neighbours close to us that had very similar on going problems.
Really looking forward to getting all the issues resolved and an apology, but I won't hold my breath. I'll continue to tell everyone I meet not to rent from Touchstone/Places For People.
Comment on agent fees
£1250 per calendar month would acceptable it the property were as advertised before we moved in also if it were to comply with local safety laws
