Absolutely terrible experience, by far the worst customer service I have ever come across in any sector. It is a wonder this business is still able to function as a lettings agency.
The property we let through Connells is in a wonderful location and the landlord has kept the property to a nice standard, but unfortunately Connells is doing the landlord and the property a disservice with their poor communication, zero sense of urgency, and simple lack of any customer facing skill set.
A leaky tap was reported at the property in Janueary prior to us even moving into the property. It is now March and the problem is still not resolved. Also, a faulty fire alarm/carbon monoxide detector was reported a month ago and I was ensured this would be dealt with as a matter of urgency since it jeopardizes our safety and puts us at risk. Not to mention I'm sure this would compromise the properties insurance, but here we are a month down the road and nothing, not even a follow up.
Many other matters were meant to be dealt with that I won't mention in detail as they don't particularly bother me, but these were maintenance issues that were meant to be fixed or resolved prior to us moving in and nothing has been completed. Lawn Care, Cleaning, etc... again a major disservice to the landlord and an inconvenience to us the tenants. Please note, I have missed work on multiple occasions to be at the property while various these works or quotes were meant to take place and no one showed up. Actually one time a contractor did show up but the brief she received was not complete and the scope of what was to be done was outside of her companies capacity... so a waste of not only her time, but of ours as well.
Still don't have a full second set of keys as was requested... so unfortunately only one of us has the privilege of entering through the back door of the property. I guess that is better than the first two weeks where we had to survive with just one set though.
Connells truly needs to take a lesson in customer service. I personally will never do business with them again, and will be sure t steer others away from making the same mistake we did in letting a property through them.
Seems from the reviews that they might put in a little more effort when it comes to property sales, but personally I'm not going to risk it.
Counting down the days until this tenancy agreement is over!
