NOTICE TO ALL PEOPLE IN THE BARROW IN FURNESS AREA. DO NOT RENT 41 SILLOTH CRESCENT, WALNEY. The landlord AND Farrell and Heyworth will cause you nothing but problems! They allowed us to redecorate the property (out of our own pocket) then gave us notice to leave the property as the landlord was apparently selling the house in the new year. The house is now back up for rent. We received this notice just before Christmas and we are expecting our first child. All parties was well aware of this. We asked if we could stay in the property just for a few weeks whilst we find somewhere else to go. And the landlord denied us this 'as he was in a hurry to sell the property'. Which obviously was untrue. The whole reason the landlord and agency have done this is because we was constantly asking for the work that needed doing on the property to be carried out. We was paying £625 in rent a month! Yet we was expected to live in an INSECURE property with windows that could be opened from the outside as well as windows that wouldn't close, which is actually a breach in contract. So as you can imagine the house was freezing and also cost us a fortune in heating bills. The front door step was unstable and obviously that is a major safety concern for a pregnant woman. The oven didn't work properly, the doors front and back was insecure and needed to be replaced (I know this as one of their handy men told me this). There was also many more problems. After we vacated the property there was an inspection report as there always is. They have printed LIES on this. Saying there is a wardrobe missing as well as other things. We had confirmation from the land lord via Farrell and Heyworth that we could dispose of it as it was UNSAFE and falling apart. Due to these lies we won't get our deposit back which was a lot of money especially when we need it for our baby. I am taking LEGAL ACTION as this all qualifies as revenge/ retaliatory eviction. This house has been up for rent for about 17 months in that time the house has had 4 different sets of tenants which really says it all!!!! DO NOT USE FARRELL AND HEYWORTH!!!
