I am since almost 1 year renting a room in London E27AG and have never experienced so unorganized and rude agents!!! There is 2 known longterm problems in the house and winkworth is absolutely doing the minimum to solve those. 1) The toilet flush is very weak and got already quoted twice from contractors as it is an ongoing problem. 1 out of 2 could get fixed after nearly 1 year! For the second flush they keep saying they need to get green lights from the landlady first. The landlady already gave greenlight's to fix the problem in first place but still they need green lights again???! Now I am asking you, how would you feel when you live with 4 more adults in a Houseshare and have to flush about 4-5 times until the toilet is clean again?! Isn't it first of all a waste of money, water and time?! Also it is embarrassing for us Tennants and just clearly disgusting to find toilet paper, or poor rests everytime we want to use the toilets. I totally understand my frustrated housemates which can't spent always the next 10 minutes after going to the loo that the watertank fills back up, So they can leave a clean toilet behind!!! 2) The bathroom has no window nor a functional fan to get rid of the steam after showering. The steam eventually especially in the cold and damp months finds his way into the rooms and condensates on the ceiling and walls and starts growing mould! The painters have been repainting'removing' mould already 2 times in under a year and it is back again!!!!! Small problems like the hotwaterboiler loosing pressure and not getting fixed asap which only turns the heaters off during the night and starts working on fullspeed due a faulty thermostat in the morning would help the mouldgrowth. But still the 'lovely' agent is trying to tell me that us Tennants would cause that damp and mould furthermore he started answering in a sarcastic way to our complaint emails. It really seems to me that the agents don't care at all about the house, the Tennants and the landlady. The way how this agency operates makes me truly believe that they just want easy money! 300£ agency fees for changing a name in the Tennants agreement is more evidence than enough!
