I am very satisfied with Brookdale Property Management as letting and managing agents for my buy-to-let flat in Peterborough and a second property added recently. I am new to the area and value Brookdale Property Management's extensive knowledge and experience of the local lettings market. They gave me advice on selecting and preparing the properties, and found good quality tenants. Brookdale Property Management have been very professional in marketing and managing my properties. I do not have to deal directly with the tenants or worry about statutory requirements including Selective Licensing. Letting a property has many responsibilities and potential pitfalls for a landlord. It is essential for peace of mind, and compliance with the relevant laws, to use experienced, trustworthy, and competent managing agents. Brookdale's staff handle all the tenants' issues and arrange repairs/servicing when required so I have no worries when I go on holiday. The rent is paid direct to my bank account regularly each month under their Rental Guarantee scheme. Some years ago I had an unsatisfactory experience with a estate/letting agent for my old home near London. This put me off being a landlord again for a while but having found Brookdale Property Management I have every confidence as they are experienced landlords themselves and not estate agents doing lettings as a side line.
Comment on agent fees
The basic fee is reasonable and I am happy to pay the extra for the Rental Guarantee option. Other incidental cost and fees also seem fair and reasonable.
