I rented a studio from Keatons and moved in yesterday. The place was horrifyingly dirty to the point of there was unflushed toilet paper, half consumed food and soap, sanitary ware covered in limescale and a ton of previous tenant's belongings that I had to throw out. Normally, if the previous tenant had left the place in a good condition, no cleaner would be required. However, this was not the case and I requested a cleaner. Shockingly, they replied that if they pay for a cleaner now, I will have to pay for a cleaner when I move out. If I don't want to pay for a cleaner when I move out (even though I would always clean myself and make sure it's spotless), I would have to accept it as it is.
This shows me that they do not have a way to treat their clients fairly. I have never been in an apartment where agency/landlord allowed their place to be trashed then told their tenants to accept it and they can leave it in the same condition. Extremely poor customer service. I would definitely try to move out as soon as the contract finishes.
P/S - I looked up their reviews on Facebook and apparently almost every renter experience the same problem! it is their standard procedure to ask clients to accept a dirty place!

Contracts are heavily skewed in favour of landlords, the company just wont help you if something goes wrong so you'll be on your own. Horrible experience....
