Im sorry for any wrong meaning or spelling I have dyslexia. Last year we needed to move out as landlord was selling. From a side we saw a 3bed house advertised by h.r.d..The rent was affordable as the current rent was 750. We had viewing. They got in contact with the landlord. Probable told them about my partners work/full time job. Got a phone call saying all good come in with the fee and paperwork done exactly what they said. waited 2 months. Got a phone call saying landlord wants 4 months advance and deposit 3,925. We was able to do 2m+ deposit. Then they called back saying no your application is failed. But it turned out that they rented the place to a richer couple and guess what, they only stayed there for 6 months and moved out. They took our money, never had a refund. Made us wait 2 months with half packed house. Lost time. I went in the Newport office asked to speak to the manager. Manager how we though will help was totally rude and unhelpful. The attitude was I don't care, I will look down on you. i asked why we was refused and that we have waited so long, we could have looked at other agency. You can't afford it I said yes we can it's only few pound more then what we pay. They did get a positive feed back from our currant agency we have no problem paying for the rent750 a month for a year. The conversation carried on he started being more loud and very personal with his comments, next to my two kids. Ask me a question if you had a property for rent and had somone LIKE YOU and a richer couple with more earings lets say 10k who would you go for? I said well you should state on your web page that we only take rich people or put a min earnings. If I had 10k or more I would not rent I will put towards buying. He said well we have rented the property out to them we have nothing to do. I remained him that they asked us to pay for the fee, landlord was happy to take us probable the job title my partner is at and wasted our time. He said I need to pay all of the staff and electric and ex. I said not with my money or doing this to me or anyother persons. I was in tiers next we my kids and my son asked mummy why are you cring this was when the mannager thought it ok to do personal comments which I honesty felt being classed, abused, ashamed, questioned how I'm living my life. Firstly we wouldn't have applied for the property if we wasn't able to pay for it. There wasn't a bad feed back. We have been renting a long time never had a landlord asking to pay big amount, i don't think it was the landlord. And the richer couple came out after 6 months I'm guessing something to do with hrd. I would have liked the agent fee to go to a charity shop rather then hrd, with my own will and not felt ABUSED. I would have had a warm thank you. I did emailed them to explain professionally the reson why they refused and apologise to me for the managers personal comments and I would like a refund. No relay was made. I truly believe there was no fault on our self. And hopefully with this review somone from hrd will be ashamed and SEND back our money.
