By the time we started talking to Manning Stainton we had been through an online agency plus another traditional agent. Our excuse was we were distracted by family events and not focused. So we took stock and invited three local trad agents round and started again. We asked all 3 what was stopping our property getting sold apart from the price which was all our current agent was interested in (others nearby were selling for more). The asked the agents to be honest - 2 wimped out and said it was fine but Mannings gave us their brutally honest opinion and suggested some improvements. We implemented 90% of their suggestions over the following 2 weeks and the next couple to view bought the house. Michelle was great at keeping us up to date and supported us through a bidding war with a previous viewer who came back on the scene. Once we agreed a price Carol was there to make sure the transaction proceeded quickly even when the buyers buyer seemed to be slowing things down. We had lived in our house for so long we had been unable to see it through the eyes of a prospective younger buyer - Mannings stepped up to the plate for us and opened our eyes. But getting a buyer is only part of the great service they provide.
