We rented our flat with Leaders for around 2 years. Their initial agency fees were by far the most expensive I had even seen in my life as a tenant. The flat itself was on its last legs, with some pretty damaged furniture, walls and mould speckled around the flat (to name a few of the issues).
We requested that the mould/ mouldy curtains be dealt with, which it never did during the 2 years.
Upon moving out, we were charged yet again multiple times, as well as a deduction of almost 1/4 of our deposit due to "the flat not being clean enough" (despite not providing us with a hoover or any cleaning appliances), a shower curtain rail piece not being connected (despite us relacing the shower curtains multiple times due to the mould) and a light bulb not working (despite not all of them working upon moving in). They also said they would charge £45 PER REFERENCE, should we request any. This was incredibely inconvenient as we moved to a fast paced city where references were expected as part of the application process, and did not guarantee the property.
On top of all this, the deposit (or what was left of it) took well over a full month to arrive back to us after moving out.

Awful agency fees, really exploitative. The staff themselves were very polite when speaking to them, but I imagine these decisions were beyond their control.

Never, never, but never use Leaders as your agency to let.
You never find the right person on the phone, busy and never call back, never solve the management issues, and NEVER give back the DEPOSIT.Ask everybody and you will have the confirmation.
