Unfortunately I will be renting a student house through homelets for the next year. I wish I previously researched the company before signing my contract. I've never experienced so many issues with a property as I have in the last year of living in my student house. Every week I seem to be discovering new safety hazards at the property and despite many emails and phone calls made to the property, hardly anything is being done. It is unbelievable that there are almost as many 5 star reviews as 1 star review, these are clearly all fake! The staff are very unprofessional and clearly not trained properly, you can hear them laughing over the phone. All of our issues are being ignored and due to the safety hazards, the house is becoming more and more dangerous to live in yet this is still being ignored, not to mention the annoying neighbour who threatened to have our deposits taken away? I would not recommend homelets under ANY circumstance! For the prices we are paying I could find a better property in central London! Not only is the house falling apart, the house was not in any liveable conditions when we moved in; to which we were promised a professional clean, a month later we're still waiting.

my son signed a joint tenancy with several liability so when another tenant did not pay his rent that amount was deducted form my sons deposit, that tenants guarantor was not charged. these tenancies are very unfair and stuents should be very wary of signing them. ...

We are having an awful experience with Homelets. We have compelling evidence that they will do anything to keep our deposit. I too am going to take the Watchdog and Rouge Trader route. It's been back and forth, a MyDeposit dispute and as much warning to all students out there. The property was mouldy, the boiler leaking and the list goes on. They are so irresponsible that they're risking lives. I want to warn every current tenant. They should not be allowed to trade. ...

This is obviously a review written by somebody that works for homelets, homelets are AWFUL. I've never met a single person with a good experience, I personally know people who have had ceilings fall through, toilets that have never been fixed, frequent viewings with no prior consent...I've even met somebody who went on holiday to return to a house with no roof, they started repairing the roof without informing the tenant and then the building stopped before the roof was complete.
