This agent is completely ridiculous! I have informed them I no longer want to sell and yet they tell me I have to wait 14 days for my advert to be removed . . . . . . BECAUSE THATS THEIR POLICY! If I am not selling then I am not selling and there is no requirement to advertise my property! If they are going to be cagey and run their business like this then I would warn others not to use them!

We've had exactly the same thing. We accepted an offer from a private buyer on the day that Haarts came to do the valuation & we told them the house had been sold the next day.
Haarts then contacted our buyer & his solicitor & then signed our buyer onto their books a week after we'd agreed the sale & the process was underway.
Unfortunately we had signed an online contract with them & they are now claiming their full fee despite having played no part in the actual sale whatsoever. Although we ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Unfortunately we had signed an online contract with them & they are now claiming their full fee despite having played no part in the actual sale whatsoever. Although we cancelled during the 14 day cooling off period, we did it with the local agent & Haarts say we should have written to Colchester but this is tucked away in the small print & the local agency didn't tell us that we needed to write to the HQ in Colchester.
