I have moved a few times since being in Manchester (22 to be exact) and I have dealt with a lot of Letting Agents in that time. Some of the "big ones" as well. By far Carr and Hume have been the best Letting Agent that I have dealt with. They made everything do easy, the communication is 2nd to none, the customner service is amazing. We had a small issue with the washing machine. I emailed on the Monday and on the Tuesday i was told that we would get a new washing machine. They are so helpful, the fees are very realistic and affordable and they are very quick at getting things done. They understand that life happens. Rachel has been my main contact and she has been just brilliant!! We went to collect the keys and she was so so thorough. It wasnt a case of - thanks for the money, here are the keys - she took her time going through everything!! My partner was in the process of selling his house so we were waiting on funds coming through - Carr and Hune (and the landlord) very kindly held the property for us. We paid a very minimal holding deposit. Some places would have charged the earth for this. I cannot thank Rachel and Carr and Hume enough. I will always recommend them.
Comment on agent fees
I have always paid between 1500k - 2000k to move into a place (this was on my own and paying large agents). This time round, the fees were in black and white and were understandable. I have found that other agents charge for literally everything. Carr and hune are VERY reasonable and the pricing makes sense. There is nothing hidden.
