Estate Agents... Well, we all know that they have a reputation, but I feel that I have to leap to the defence of Fox & Sons.. Well the one in Elm Grove, Brighton at least..
After putting our house on the market, admittedly during a very difficult time for sellers, I went through two seemingly useless estate agents before employing the services of Fox & Sons.
We basically wanted "people through the door" and that's exactly what they did. During a time when very few people were looking, we had 3 or 4 people a week looking around our property and it wasn't long before we had an offer.
Unfortunately, due to the government running out of cash for "Key Workers" subsidised mortgages, that deal fell through after a short while.
At that point, with all the doom and gloom flying around in the press about the state of the housing market, we were getting just a little distraught, but I have to say the Fox & Sons sales guys were superb at bringing us round to a more positive way of thinking.
A few weeks later we had another offer. A few more weeks after that and we've now gone to exchange. It's been a journey, and all I can say is that I'm glad we chose Fox & Sons, who really did do a great job.
