Unfortunately I didn't had access to this reviews before I rented with this agency, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I moved recently to Bedford and I was looking for bedroom to rent just for a few months, a temporary thing until I find a house to move permanently. Lenwell was one of the agencies I tryed. I talked to Ms Ruth and she said she had a room. A lady called Stevie showed me 2 rooms. They were dirty and there was no matress on the beds. I asked her about those things and about wi-fi internet. She assured me that if/when I moved in the bedroom would be clean and there would be a matress on the bed. She also told me that a cleaning ladt would come every week to clean the hall, the stairs and the bathrooms and that she thought that I would have wi-fi as well. I talked with Ms Ruth and she told me that I would have wi-fi (which was one of my requirements to move). She told ne that I would have to pay £150 of administration fees and the deposit and one month of rent in advance (£350 each). I paid for the administration fees and I went home. Then, the nightmare started. It took almost 2 weeks for them to get me the room (and it's their room, righ above the agency). When I was almost moving, Ms Ruth told me that I would have to get a contents insurance (she hadn't informed me before). I got it and on the day that I moved in she told me that I would have to pay £450 for the deposit (not £350), £350 for one month rent and £45 for registration fees (I was never told about this). In total I paid £845 + £150 of administration fees to rent a simple room. By the time that the process took and the amount that I have paid, it looked like that I was renting a room at the Buckingham Palace. So, I went for my room and, for my surprise, the room was dirty and there was no matress on the bed. I went down to talk with them and Ms Ruth sugested for me to take the other vacant room and she was surprised that I was told that the room would be clean. I couldn't believe that, but I acepted the other room (it had a matress). I went again upstairs and I tryed the internet. There was no internet as well. I went downstairs again to get an explanation and she told me that no one granted me wi-fi on my room. I was so mad... She said that if I wanted I could return the keys and leave to find another place. I moved to Bedford that day and didn't had any other place to go...so I stayed. So, as you can see, this branch is full of liars and incompetence. I will never recomend or use this agency again. I would love to see them going to justice. I have been here for almost a month and I have never seen the cleaning lady or traces that she was here.
What agent could do to change your mind?
At this time, nothing. Only giving me back all the money I have spent with them. I will never want nothing to do with them again.
