I've been renting my property out through them for 5 years whilst I have been living away. They have been happy to take my monthly fee, but when it comes to actually doing any work for their fee they are unhelpful, lazy and incredibly rude. They overcharge for maintenance works and are not proactive in what they do. As you can see from their responses to other complaints they are even rude and childish in their responses. Definitely changing agents now and will never use again

What agent could do to change your mind?
Maintenance companies will often inflate their costs expecially if they think that the landlord wil not even notice or care. Atwell Martin should aim to to get vaue for money for their client (the landlord). It takes jsut two minutes to Google and find our the going rate for white goods. They are lazy in the extreme making no effort to ensure quote is reasonable. This is the reason I am leaving them. If they gave evidence of challengin their maintenance companies I might reconsider. However, every alternative letting agent I have contacted so far has lower charges, so they'd probably have to lower their charges a little to keep me.
