I wish there was an option bellow terrible. This agency is a joke. We rented a property last year and they are responsible for the contract and for our deposit. First we specifically asked to have a 6-month break clause in our contract, which they failed to include, said it would be included later and never did (our fault to not press on the matter and believing them and signing the contract anyway).
Then we had a series of problems with our flat and needed their support to understand what were our options. Obviously, not only they failed to provide such support, we also had to deal with different people every time. Yes, over the course on 1 year, we spoke to three different letting managers, and this change was never reported to us as soon as it happen, we only found out after chasing them up several times. Moreover, last time we actually had to provide the new manager with the contact information for our landlady (THEIR CLIENT).
In chronological line we dealts with Radana Zapletalova, Brian McVeigh and Moustafa Ozjurt.
Now, our contract has finally ended and we have to basically fight them to get our deposit back. Our landlady has called them asking for the release forms, which they failed to send her. So she emailed them and no one answered. So we called them yesterday and found out that the Lettings Manager is on holiday so someone called Tejal Patel will "see what they can do" and that they needed "verbal confirmation" from our landlady to release our deposit. We called them today again to follow up and Tejal Patel isn't in the office today and no one can provide any information.
I'm sorry, but WHAT? How is it OUR problem that Mr. Ozkurt in on holiday? Why are we penalised for this? Why isn't there anyone dealing with his clients? And they are going to "see what they can do"??? As far as I know, they have 10 days to release our deposit back to us from the moment our landlady says everything is in order.
Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cover this whole situation. I hope this is resolved by this Friday, if not I'm calling up Citizens Advise to find out how I can take legal action. I've had enough.
What agent could do to change your mind?
I would change my mind if they had done their job over the course of the past year. Now it's too late. All I want is my deposit back promptly and to never have to deal with them again.
