I am house-hunting in Devon from Hampshire and it is really proving difficult. On this occasion, trying to make an appt to view, Stags didn't bother ringing me back to keep me updated so I had to keep ringing them. They finally rang to say I had a viewing the day before, but I was travelling and unable to pick up my calls at the time, however they didn't bother to leave a voicemail, so I was non the wiser. I rang as soon as I could the night before after closing when i was able to get reception asking them to let me know first thing if I had a viewing - they didn't, so I assumed they hadn't managed to get me an appt. When I finally made contact with them they said their agent was already at the house but not to worry just to make my way there and there was no hurry. We finally got there and he had left. Needless to say no one had bothered to let us know that, even though we kept ringing the office to update them on our progress. When I asked why they hadn't rung first thing or left a voice message about the appt time, they were basically unhelpful, uncaring, unapologetic, sarcastic and yes plain rude. A really upsetting viewing that never happened all because they simply couldn't be bothered to leave a voice message, or return a call before, during or after. Thanks a bunch guys - one star is too good for you.

I have looked at our electronic records and spoken to the manager of our Dartmouth office about your experience last week.
You made an appointment to view a property which we confirmed at 9.01am July 24, for a viewing which was at 10.30am on Wednesday July 25. You were 30 minutes late for the viewing and both the mobile phone numbers you had supplied were not working so we were unable to ascertain what was happening and whether you were on your way or had decided not to show up. In the end, our Dartmouth manager took the decision that you were not coming to the appointment and moved on to his next viewing, otherwise he would have been letting down his next client.
It is very unfortunate that you missed the viewing and regrettable that for reasons of phone difficulties you were not able to get in touch with Stags and let us know what was going on. House hunting can be difficult at times and here at Stags we do all we can to make the process as smooth as possible. We are very sorry that your viewing did not work out this time and wish you luck with your property search in the future.
Best wishes,
Becky Sheaves
