Have recently moved out of a rented property, of which we had endless problems specially in the first two weeks of our tenancy, which was brand new renovated flat.
Here is the list:
Bedroom 1
Lightbulb was blown!
Sockets do not work not connected in the loft so the source!
Blind was not hung and fell off completely when touched at 10.30pm night 1
Inner blind is not threaded properly so does not roll back up
Water pipes wrong way round so no hot water in en-suite
Reception 1
No line in for Internet at all
Kitchen
Radiators have come away from the wall ready to fall off
Sink is all scratched (supposed to be new)
Filthy everywhere with brick dust and such even though I asked for it to be cleaned which was confirmed it would be.
Paint cracking all around windows from heat clearly cheap workmanship
And to top it all off we woke up on our second morning, less than 24 hours after moving in, to water everywhere after a mains water pipe had snapped clean off after one use of the shower!
None of this was sorted within a week of reporting it, in the end I had to go to social media and then something got done about some of the problems.
Since moving out they have told us they will be deducting £255 from our deposit, £160 for a clean even though we had it professionally cleaned prior to moving out and provided them with an invoice as proof.
They have not taken into consideration anything that went wrong in our tenancy, we had no compensation of any kind despite having to take time off work to deal with all these problems letting workman in and out of the property.
Quite frankly they are an embarrassment of a letting agent.
Please let no-one else go through what we have been through with JNP.
