We have recently had a shocking experience with Frank Innes Estate Agents. We viewed and fell in love with a property that had recently been bought to the market by Frank Innes.
The day after viewing the property, a Frank Innes agent contacted us and asked us what we thought of the property and we commented that we were considering putting an offer in. The agent then became very cagey and started talking about all of the 'interest' in the property.
Two days later, we put in an offer and were once given what almost felt like a very obstructive spiel about all of the interest in the property and how the agent was going to suggest that the vendor take the property to sealed bids... ! Excuse me?! You are running an estate agency in Nottingham not London... ?!?!? We were also told that we needed 'qualifying' as buyers, and that they would do this buy getting their conveyancing team to contact us. When the conveyancing phone call happened, it became clear that it was a phone call to sell us a mortgage and their conveyancing services.
That same evening, we were told that the owner had decided to take the property to best and final offers (greedy!) and that we had to submit ours by midday the next day. We did, and predictably we lost out. We have mixed emotions about this as on the one hand we are sad that we did not get the property but on the other very, very grateful that we wont have to deal with the Frank Innes estate agents anymore or the greedy vendors. When the incredibly insensitive Frank Innes agents rang to tell us that we had not got the property they then added insult to injury by saying 'shall we book you an appointment with our financial advisers?'- Errr, no!!!

My son has just had a similar experience. Be very careful with these people as I feel they are selling to the person who makes them the most money, not just the selling price commission, but extras like mortgage, conveyancing etc. Luckily I managed to contact the seller who confirmed some of my thoughts. Written without prejudice.

I'm in exactly the same boat with them! I have children under 5 and have been waiting since 5th January for maintenance to come and replace my leaking radiator! Avoid Frank Innes , Central Avenue like the plague.
Continually bad service with lack of communication between team members .
No updates from the branch re. viewings. All contact initiated by myself the vendor. The staff were always too busy to give a reply.
The phone was more often than not on answer phone.
