When being shown around the property our group and the group that came before us were promised that the kitchen would be refurbished (no handles on units, peeling wallpaper, doors hanging off of their hinges). We later expressed interest in this property and also asked that the carpets could be cleaned and paid an admin fee.
After asking how things were getting on we were told in no uncertain terms that we were a hassle and they handed us off to their manager, who took our enquiries about the state of the property as a personal insult. We received contradicting requests from different members of staff and threats that if forms were not received by midday of the same day the house would be re-marketed.
We have recently viewed the property to check ourselves how the house was being managed and lo and behold, no handles on drawers, no fixed units, just a bit of paint on the walls. The carpets were still stained too. We have wanted to know if they would give us a timescale for when they expected things to be done in writing and they wouldn't even give us that. All I can recommend you do is avoid them unless the property has absolutley no problems whatsoever.

Beware of this company, they need constant chasing to get anything done.
We rented from Barrie Alderton for 6 months and it was awful.
-The first mistake was that the written contact said 12 months when we had verbally agreed to 6.
-the house wasn't clean when we moved in, the bathroom was particularly mouldy- the shower curtain was stuck to the bath with mould.
