After my deposit had not been returned for approx 4 months, I spoke to Sophie as her colleague was on leave.
There appeared to be no handover process in place at Connells as Sophie did not understand any detail about my query. Granted, that is not her fault. But instead of letting me know that she will look into it, she gave me multiple excuses as to why I hadn't been paid - both of which were incorrect. I would prefer to just be told the truth that she wasn't sure and she'll look into it.
Also, I find it rather rude when she just forwarded me emails from different departments at Connells and expected me to read through her thread with them, instead of being bothered to write anything in the main body of her own email.
It was also odd that during the email conversation I had with Sophie, and it was clear that I was very unhappy - she sent me this satisfaction survey request. Very bad timing.
I have now finally been paid my deposit - but it is laughable that this has taken around 4 months. I am completely annoyed by this, and would consider not using this estate agents again.
Comment on agent fees
Fees were large and I definitely have not received any quality service.
