My partner and i went to a view a property with Lex Allan and the following week my partner put in an application, he physically took it into the branch along with his ID, by the end of the following week we had heard nothing, so i called them and spoke to Sasha who told me they had not got a record of the application, but she would look into it and get back to me, when she called back she said there was still no application, so i told her my partner would come in and fill another form in and she informed me that she would do the credit checks and speak to the landlord and get back to me the next day my partner then went in on the same day around 4pm and filled in the application again. the next day we had not heard anything so my partner called and spoke to Sarah, she then asked him a few questions and took his card details for the searches and fees and told him she would call us on the Monday. By Monday lunchtime we had not heard anything so i called in and spoke to Jerry the lettings director, i explained the whole thing to him and i got told none of it took place, Sarah had called us and we had not called them, that we had not provided the information requested, i was told he would look into it and call me back, I then get a call from Jerry telling me he had questioned his staff and what i had told him had not taken place and maybe my partner and i should talk as he was clearly telling me things that were untrue! bearing in mind i was sat with my partner when he called them and gave the details over the phone. Jerry was arguementative, patronising and spoke over me at no point did i recieve an apology instead he kept trying to tell me we were in the wrong. We were the only applicants on this property, the poor landlord has no idea how prospective tenants are being treated and why his house is still on the market. I am disgusted with the way i have been treated, Jerry and is staff have lied, he tells me he trusts his staff but clearly a prospective tenant would call in and lie. we have phone records proving at no point did Sarah calls us, also we were told the application form was not fully complete, he sat down with a member of staff to fill it in, if there were errors or anything missing why did the staff not pick this up, when i asked Jerry he told me this was because it was 4.45pm when my partner came in and they close at 5pm, well firstly her went in at 4pm and regardless of the closing time they should do their job and check the paperwork! and im perfectly honest i dont believe for one minute they will put our application forward.
