Avoid at all cost and don't make the same mistake we did. We are a landlord and we terminated Hunters after 18 months as their service was rather ordinary and expensive.
Hunters was initially fine with us leaving them and then changed their minds. They are now telling us they didn't say this and are entitled to an indefinite renewal fee for doing nothing as the tenant is staying on despite the fact that we have terminated our agency agreement with them. According to Hunters, the tenant is theirs as they found them for us. Hunters never told us this at the outset, there is no renewal service being rendered and they have not been able to clearly explain where this is provided for in the contract.
They still hold the rental deposit and have ignored our instructions for almost a month now to transfer the deposit to a TDS custodial account holding us to ransom. We continue to chase them but they are only interested in chasing a renewal fee prioritising their commercial interest and ignoring a legitimate request / instruction.
