We've been renting for nearly 6 years so understand the unwritten rule of how much letting agents can rinse you for 'admin fees' etc. However, if you are looking at renting from these guys DO NOT RENT 112 MANDALE HOUSE. We took it on 'reduced rent' at £595 as it was not up to standard with a few 'cosmetic issues' which we were promised would be fixed by the time we moved in - not only were they not, the flat was unclean when we moved in to the point where the inventory guy suggested we not move in! My flatmate had no curtains for the entirety of our 6 month lease (bedroom has floor to ceiling windows) because they wouldn't put up a curtain rail and we would be charged if we tried to ourselves. The window in the living room broke within a month so we couldn't open it, being on the 5th floor in summer this was unbearable and was never fixed. The only time they bothered to come fix anything was the shower/ bath as it was leaking into the hallway and bedrooms but even then this took a month, damaging the wood doors further. They rinse you for every penny and then just say they can't help 'if the landlord won't authorise repairs' (who lives in Ireland). It then took us 4 months to get our deposit back. These are just the highlights of how awful our experience was -
My suggestion to Sheffield Residential would be to have some integrity and not take on rogue landlords as it makes just as culpable.
