From start to finish it was a cowboy job. I spoke to the flatmates to organise viewings and only after I'd given my word to move in did I even know a letting agency was involved. Then after sending my security deposit they failed to send me a full tenancy agreement for months and after a lot of chasing. I'd asked about a minimum term and was told there was none - then there was one in the contract. Very difficult to get hold of and don't share work, so if your one contact isn't in it's a 'computer says no' attitude towards helping, even on minor issues.
I left the contract early as I was having a bad time all round and bit the bullet on the £240 charge to leave (details of which I only saw once I got my full tenancy agreement) - but then lo and behold they deduct £300 from the deposit. So I'm an extra £60 down and they didn't even tell me what it was for - which after a lot of chasing they told me was a cleaning fee. I'd probably left the room in a cleaner state than I found it and if it was like it was when I moved in I would hazard a guess that no cleaner was actually paid. Another issue was that when I was moving out they almost blocked it due to rental 'areas' over 50p of rent outstanding because of a typo on the standing order. Instead of calling/contacting me they just put me down as under rental areas, incurring me cost and inconvenience with the new letting agency. I've moved around quite a bit and this was easily the worst experience I've ever had. Utterly useless and felt like genuine rip-off merchants. Avoid.
Comment on agent fees
Not justified. They make you do all the legwork, including finding replacement tenants when you move out, and they'll squeeze every penny they can get out of you.

Mathew, Thank you for your review. However, I am unable to find you on our system either by name of postcode. Provided you were in a Dendrow Managed Property, then it would be likely that you wouldn't have had a break clause, and your contract would end on 31/08; Fortunately, Our clients are very accommodating and permit (subject to consent) assignment of the remaining term of your contract to a suitable replacement. did that happen? I have to ask, did you raise this with the property manage ...

Thank you for leaving a review about Dendrow here. we understand that when a landlord decides to carry out work to a property we do our best to ensure that all of the tenants are aware of what is going on. that is to say, provided we manage the property. However, without further information on your particular case we are really unable to comment on the reasons why re-pointing work was carried out. re-pointing work can be classed as an emergency if there are issues relating to water ingres ...

Thank you for your review of Dendrow. However, we would like to point out that Dendro Ltd have all of the necessary compliance in place in order to run an estate and Letting's business. this includes a redress scheme, which we have been a member of for a number of years, as well as other professional memberships and regulatory bodies so as to ensure legal compliance. Dendrow do not treat tenant's security deposits as their own money as you quite aptly put it, as we have the highest level ...
