I used Letting Solutions for around 5 years for two properties and I regret every penny I wasted on their mis-management. Their focus at some point switched from transparency, to conjuring up ways to pick the pocket of their clients.
They accepted tenants that failed credit checks and then took money for rental loss insurance but didn't take out the policy. This came to light when the tenant stopped paying rent and they gave me no help to recoup the losses.
Their in-house maintenance, Property Extra, charge around 100 - 200% more than a regular reliable tradesperson for everything. Including over 100% mark up on appliances. This unfortunately meant that work that needed doing was delayed as I had to organise it myself from overseas.
They constantly tried to do annual checks more than once a year and charge for it. Whether this was greedy planning or just plain incompetence, it's hard to say.
I wouldn't normally bother to write a review like this but as they stole money from my security deposit to pay the management fee for the period they collected no rent, I feel motivated. Any complaints I directed to the company (there were lots) were ignored or treated with complete belligerence.
They are one of the most greedy, ethically corrupt, frustrating companies I have ever had to deal with.
