For this executor sale (of a house initially tenanted then vacant) the branch manager and several members of staff did a lot of work over 6 months to show it to potential buyers. In a slightly difficult market these efforts were eventually successful at a reasonable price and at a reasonable agents' fee.
Some room for improvement in that communication between staff members was sometimes confused or lacking. Messages and explanations to one member of staff were not always passed on to others, who might ring with a query which had already been answered, or fail to comply with some agreed request. Also, some emails I sent (requesting something or replying to some request to me) received an out-of-office reply and were not passed on internally, it was up to me as the customer to re-send it to another staff member who might hopefully be 'in'.
A separate point is that the instruction to "'always keep the seller informed" was taken too literally by some members of staff, who would routinely ring me and say " I've tried to ask Mrs X for feedback on her viewing but she didn't answer so I've left a message".
