Saga 1:
I arranged to see three properties that were being let by Ocean on the same day. I turned up 5 minutes early to the first viewing, after 20 minutes I rang the office I had made the appointments with, they didn't pick up and I was redirected to another Bristol office. They had no idea about any of the properties or who the person who was supposed to be meeting me was, they said they'd ring back in 5 minutes. After 15 minutes I rang back and it went through to yet another office who I had to explain the whole situation to again, they said they'd ring back. At 35 mins past the original meeting time the original office rang up and said that they didn't know where the person who was supposed to meet me was and that we could reschedule the first two viewings to another day, but not the third one as that was with yet another office, despite me arranging it with the first office in the first place. They didn't apologise. A man did show up to show me around the third place, he was very polite and apologetic that he was 25 minutes late.
Saga 2:
I agreed to let the third place, they asked me to pay some money and fill in some forms, which I did, they said they'd get back to me when my references came through. A week or so later I got an email (the first email I'd ever received from them about this property) saying that I had until the end of the business day to collect together 5 different documents and to pay my first two months rent up front or they'd let it to someone else. They said it was my last notice, it was but it was also the first. I was at work but managed to call in some favours and frantically collected all the documents together and emailed them across. Doing this involved ringing the office three times to clarify a few things, EVERY time it went through to a different office who knew nothing about it and I had to re-explain my case. I rang at 4pm to say that I'd got everything together and actually managed to get through to the correct office, the man I spoke to told me the woman handling my case had gone home and she'd be back in the day after next. I could not believe it. I did manage to rent this place, I was one hour late to pick up the keys due to a miscommunication, but it's ok because the person dropping them off was 1h15 late.
Saga 3:
They emailed me to tell me that I was having a house inspection on a workday between 8am and 4pm in just a few days time. I called to ask for a more specific time and was told I couldn't be given one. I had to rearrange some things at work to be home all day, I also had to get up earlier than usual. At 4:15 I rang them and asked if anyone was coming, I got through to the correct office (!), the person said they'd left my keys in another office and so hadn't come. They said they'd rearrange it for next month, but they haven't. This was several months ago.
All of my interactions with them have wasted my time and caused a lot of stress. I STRONGLY recommend against them.
