Viewed a flat and pointed out that window blinds were broken. We were told not to worry as the contractor was coming back the followng day to fix it.
Checked 3 days prior to moving in and the problem still not fixed. Told exactly the same thing as previous that the contractor was going in the following day to fix the problem and it would definately be done prior to my 75 year old mother moving in. They said that this was their profession as a property mangement company and this is what they do...fix things on a daily basis so we should stop bothering them and let them get on with their business.
The morning before moving in we called Arden Properties but no one knew if the problem had been fixed. Asked for a call back but Arden Property didn't bother. Seems like they were satisfied that they had our deposit and the lease was signed, therefore no customer service was required. They learly gave the impression that they had no concerns once the lease was signed.
So when we went to collect the keys and do the handover, we noticed that the problem had not been fixed. Asked when it would be fixed but Catriona said she didn't know. But despite the problem pointed out a week prior to moving in and Arden Property fully aware, they did not get it fixed. We made them aware that we were not happy and asked if this was the sign of thngs to come should any other issues arise.
At this point we were told to shut up and not mention it again by Catriona (Partner of Arden Property) or she would not proceed with the let.
We had no choice as this would have left my 75 mother homeless as all her belongings were in the removal van outside just waiting to come in.
It is disgusting that a 75 year old woman could have been left homeless just because we had questioned on several occassions as to why repairs were not being carried out on the property. This is bullying at its best from Company.
Beleive me if we had an alternative property to move in to then we would have gone..
I can almost guarentee that the problems are going to be outstanding a few weeks down the line from what we have experienced so far.

This was a problematic check in as there were outstanding repairs, all of which were rectified. Mr Brigg's comment posted during the check in, over dramatized the situation and actually by the end of our appointment he thanked me for my time and our attention.
