As a land lord we trusted Hunters halifax to manage our property as we live in Australia. The halifax team were great but as soon as we signed up tenants we realised that the management is in bath which is at least 200 miles from our property. The bath office are extremely in professional in dealing with us the client and the tenant. When it comes to dealing with maintenance they clearly have no local knowledge of the trades in area and the bills are extortionate. When the tenants vacated halifax hunters did a report showing things that needed to be done as damage and cleaning needed to be done. All the bath team did to regard these items was to forward my email to the tenant and vice versus, I actually had a family member threaten me on a social media site and hunters did nothing. If you want piece of mind management at your rental AVOID hunters and go for a more local agent.
