MINT HOMES ARE THIEVES.
No problems with them until the end of tenancy.
They charged us for things that were already broken or in the same state that they were in before we moved into the property.
We are gutted with ourselves because we trusted them to be a good company that were honest and helpful. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
I know I should've known better and taken before and after photos of the property, because they have twisted and lied about 99% of what was on that deductions list.
If you are a landlord reading this, think about how you want your property and your tenants to be treated. If it's treat the property into disrepair and steal from your tenants deposits then choose them. If you want your property treated with care and kept up to the good standard it should be, and to have happy tenants who would recommend your property... CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE.
And prospective tenants, don't get sucked into their friendly and caring atttitude. It's a lie, they will treat you like dirt whenever it comes down to paying for something or giving your deposit back.
I seriously recommend anyone to look elsewhere as a tenant or a landlord.

Yes
However, Mint Homes will only make a deposit deduction if there is an anomaly to the initial signed inventory. Our tenancy agreement also advises how the garden and interior of the property and contents should be kept throughout the tenancy as well as left at the end.
To protect a deposit taken for an assured shorthold tenancy and help with any disputes between tenants and landlords at the end of a tenancy, all our deposits are held by the Deposit Protection Service (DPS). Mint Homes follows the guidelines set out by the DPS so it is fair to both our valued tenants and landlords alike. In the case of a dispute, both Mint Homes and the tenant are able to submit evidence for and against the proposed deduction for the DPS to make the final decision.
The legislation was introduced because the Government recognised many deposits were being unfairly withheld at the end of a tenancy. Introducing Tenancy Deposit Protection was identified as a way to raise standards in the lettings industry and ensure tenants are treated fairly at the end of the tenancy.
The legislation also introduced standards for the way deposit disputes are handled. All TDP providers need to offer a free Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for occasions where tenants and landlords can't agree on how much should be deducted from a deposit.
