The service from Connels was woeful throughout my 3 year tenancy with them, boardering on the criminal. On arrival in the property there were descepancies between the tenancy inspection and the report produced by Connels which took several months to resolve. Through the tenancy materials problems of disrepair occurred, eg washing machine broke down, and it took 6 months to resolve, at considerable inconvenience to me and my family. Other issues were dealt in a similarly tardy fashion, on average taking 2 months to resolve issues that were the landlords responsibility. The tenancy management organisation within Connells performed woefully throughout or tenancy and ultimately led to our termination of the tenancy. Despite us following the tenancy agreement and submitting 2 months notice, Connels failed to follow their own procedures and the tenancy agreement and arrange for a handover inspection. When I challenged the Lettings Manager (Watford Parade) over why no handover inspection had been arranged, he was rude and aggressive, which was wholly unprofessional. He proceeded to insist that the keys to the property should be handed to Connels without any inspection. He then made arrangements for him and the landlord to carry out an inspection without the tenants presence, in breach of the tenancy agreement. Once the landlord had indicated he was happy with the state of the property, it took Connells 1 week to return my deposit, which was wholly unacceptable and I consider to be dishonest and lacking integrity on the part of Connells. A wholly unsasfactory experience with Connells, which was characterised by inefficiency, complacency, rudeness, a lack of integrity and significant dishonesty bordering on the criminal.
