Martin & Co (Basingstoke) provided both a Property Management Service and acted as our estate agent. Throughout the entire term of the contracts we had a relatively seamless and pain free experience.
Like with any 3rd party acting on your behalf, there are times when, in the 'heat of the moment' you wish things could have been done more expeditiously, however, in most circumstances issues/problems were dealt with relatively promptly and satisfactory.
Communications were good, especially as we were not local for most of the contractural period. We were kept well informed of any maintenance issues and they were addressed with hopefully little impact on the tenants. Any delays were many due to tenants not being available or contractor appointment times.
Property upkeep standards - This is probably the area where I personally felt that I wasn't appraised of fully. Periodic reports were produced, but they didn't really give a true impression of the property condition. There were times when the property could have been 'touched up' prior to new tenants moving in, that would have put the house in a better shape before it went on the market. However, the statement of 'normal wear and tear' is a huge bracket and is viewed differently by everyone. Any main problems/faults were clearly highlighted and addressed accordingly.
Tenant disputes - Martin & Co were very good in dealing with a tenant dispute and kept us informed throughout the process. They were honest and unbiased, remaining impartial to both tenant and landlord.

After reading some of the reviews, this branch has had mixed reports. We received a good service from Andrew and Lindsey and would recommend them to others.
