Do not use this estate agent to buy or sell your biggest asset. They are unprofessional, unethical, outdated, lacking in understanding the market, lack customer service skills, and desperately lack good communication skills and as a result will cost you more money as they did us. This team are a shining example of every terrible story you've heard about estate agents, multiply this by 10. They made the whole experience much more stressful than it needed to be. The industry needs to be more regulated and companies like this should not be allowed anywhere near your biggest asset. Looking at previous reviews from as far back as 2012 nothing has changed. We decided to buy in Wanstead and searched for a good year 2016/17 until the property we wanted came up. So we have very extensive experience in dealing with all the estate agents in the area and they range from brilliant e.g Petty Son & Prestwich, to the absolute worst, Dabora Conway. There is an unprofessional, rude, bullyish attitude from the very top with William Line the manager setting a solid example to his staff. Kathy O'Connor the senior sales negotiator is inept. Through the sales process they showed such a lack of understanding the current market and as a result hindered rather than helped the sales process, also by being untruthful and setting unrealistic expectations for their client the vendor. They cost both the vendor and buyers more money in the process as the sale went on for much longer than it needed to due to their incompetence. Their communication was very odd to non existent, case in point halfway through the sale, Kathy O' Connor who was our sales agent avoided all communication with us for FIVE weeks, despite us chasing her every other day. When she did communicate it was impossible to get a straight answer to even the most simple questions. This was very detrimental to the sale, by the end the only communication was through our solicitors. Three quarters through the sale we discovered the flat had been put back on the market, despite them being fully aware that we were still buying the property. Their response was they didn't have to tell us. A great estate agent should act as a mediator between the vendor and buyer, both components are equally important and this will make what is already a stressful experience that much more palatable, and at the very least not cost you more money than you're already forking out. DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT.
