Awful, awful service. My Estate agents, Frank Innes use countrywide as their maintenance service.
My boiler broke on the 8th January- Just the heating.
It is now the 26th January. To begin, a contracted maintenance company that countrywide use came to look at the boiler (Trent Maintenance) a quote was given and the landlord declined. A week later, Countrywide finally found another company that the landlord was happy to carry out the repairs with and we were told that it would be done on the same day. There are two of us, and the other tenant waited for his arrival, the maintenance man came out and another quote had to be confirmed with the landlord. The boiler was not fixed. It took 3 more days before we could get someone to come out to fix this. I waited in this time, he was due to come between 5-7pm. I waited till quarter to 8. No one showed up. Bearing in mind that I have now been commuting over an hour away because the flat is unbearably cold. I also could not phone the office between these hours because countrywide was closed and I had not been given the number of the maintenance man. I have spent all of today organising another visit, which was due to come at 4pm. Again no one showed, neither countrywide or the maintenance company picked up or answered after I left voicemails. It is now the weekend. I am still paying for internet and my bills. Well over £200 of my money has been wasted on rent, bills, and transportation and still no indication as to when the boiler will be fixed. Not to mention that they refuse to fix one of our broken taps, and have ignored the fact (for well over a month) that the other bathroom has a rancid smell coming from it.
