Our tenancy ended on the 9th of December. They planned the check-out only because we reminded them a day earlier, although we have given them the two-month notice. The clerk never arrived on the check-out appointment because he was never informed - the agent had told us she was informing him. They failed meeting their contractual obligations in the check out.
they informed us about the deposit after the 20-day deadline had passed and only after we had to remind them again. We told them we do not agree that they withheld the checkout fee from the deposit and we requested that they release the whole amount.
After almost two weeks and three emails, they have not even responded to any of our emails. They are not releasing the deposit. Is it even legal?
They are charging extremely high fees for services they do not provide and they totally ignore us, while they still owe us the deposit.
Comment on agent fees
Their fees are not transparent and extremely high. 250 for new tenants, 90 for contract renewal, 180 for check-out. If they treated us like customers we would be more open to paying them, but they are breaching all their contractual requirements, they do not know how to manage properties, they are not organised and they are avoiding any communication. They have not responded to any of the three emails in the last two weeks. Unacceptable.
