TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR PROSPECTIVE TENNANTS
Myself and my partner had arranged to view a flat let by Roy Brooks - and to our knowledge, at the earliest convenience, as we were pretty sure we wanted to put an offer in.
We were allocated a time, again, checking no earlier appointments were available, went to the viewing and in 12 minutes of the appointment, had sent a confirmation email detailing our interest for the property. We were told by the agent (who was very helpful at the time) that due to the office being closed, we would not be able to put a deposit down and would have to call in the morning to do so.
I was the first person to call the office the following morning, and even offered to pay the landlord a higher rent as I was aware that this would be quite competitive.
However, we were later told (6 hours later...) that someone had been into the office the previous day, after an earlier viewing (one we were not informed of or offered) and paid the deposit - 2 hours prior to us even arriving at the property.
I understand the nature of property rentals, and how quickly good property goes in the current climate, however, a courtesy call to say that the property was taken, or even the option to offer more money to the Landlord (which we mentioned several times and were denied) would have been sufficient enough.
Poor communication, terrible service and from a landlord and Tennant perspective, a bad agency to go with.
