"An estate agent with delusions of adequacy. Some genuinely helpful people work here, though they are sadly let down by * the owner. We were told we'd left our house buying 'until the last minute' which was both discourteous and inaccurate. We lost out on 4 other houses before finally securing our current house, purely because cash buyers proved more attractive, understandably, then we did, even though we had a firm buyer for our house. Of course a vendor will prefer a cash buyer every time. Of more concern was that Harding told us that the family we were buying from already had somewhere to go, as they were being relocated for their job. As the buying process progressed, it became very clear that this was not the case because they were house-hunting. I questioned this and was told that I was lying, despite my wife and I very clearly hearing this from Harding at our first viewing. We were disappointed with Harding's idea of customer service. Another house we'd offered money on was spectacularly over-valued; the fact that it's now £30,000 below the price and listed with a different agent indicates that. No prizes for guessing where the original valuation came from. Was this done to secure the listing? We found Harding's arrogance, unprofessional behaviour and tenuous grasp of the truth very unpleasant to deal with; a shame given that he had some genuinely helpful people working with him. This refers to a house bought in July 2017.
I'm guessing this will attract a 42 point denial from Harding telling me that it's all my fault and that my wife and I are liars. He would do well to remember who the customer is and not to accuse us of lying when he's been caught out You don't have to read too many reviews to find this arrogance is a recurring theme."
Comment on agent fees
n/a - I was a buyer, though I hear they charge more than other agents because they feel they give a 'superior service' - draw your own conclusions
