AVOID THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS, DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!
Where to start...
Firstly I should have read the reviews prior to agreeing to the tenancy. Like some of the other reviews here, I was first mislead with an advert for a room that once I arrived was 'no longer available' but had other rooms of similar quality,As I was in a bind to find accommodation quick I humoured them. After Mikheal (french dude) asked my budget to which his reply was that is was going to be impossible except for one room. He quickly showed me the room which appeared rather small, and to be honest, not worth the price anyways I reluctantly agreed for a tenancy for a month until I could figure out a more suitable and quality room for the money. This is then the start of my issues....
I left after work in the evening when it came time to sign the contract and pay the deposit, I was rudely treated by the admin team and asked 'why I took so long" even though I was still an hour before they closed and then informed that I would have no internet for a week until an engineer could arrive , annoyed yes but still I was accommodating and forgiving.
Once I moved in, I noticed further issues with the property such as no hot water, a blown light socket in my room, smoke detectors that wouldn't stop beeping, an internet router that shared only one socket with the washing machine so one or the other, no lock on my room door, and the cherry on top was that the front door knob fell completely off so the property was completely unsecured against intruders, which luckily didn't happen. In addition to the other tenants sending emails and phone calls, I had to consistently call and walk into the office to be lied to that the engineers were on their way to fix it. They arrived after two weeks to a temporary fix and nothing else in the property including a water pipe leak which would flood the bathroom if you used the sink (i'm not joking).
at this point I really lost my patience with them, but according to the contract they could take up to 21 days to make repairs which is ridiculous.
Upon move out day I arrived early and had to collect some last minute items put in another room without my consent or notification until I had to inquire. I was told by one of the agents showing another room in the flat I had to hand in keys by 1pm otherwise Id be fined. My hand in was at 12:26pm. I was then told I would receive my deposit in 2 to 5 weeks from that date...It took them nearly 2 months of constant phone calls to again a non existent, unapologetic admin/deposit team where I had to threaten to pursue legal action with no effort to contact me back. To add insult to injury once I did finally receive my deposit back I was hit with another 'checkout admin fee' of 100 quid plus a fine of 27 quid for a late check in which was another lie. At that point I had enough of dealing with this awful company and these con artists.
your deposit should be legally protected after 30 days but they will not do so under 62.
If I could ensure this place closes down, I would do so. Don't be fooled by the fake positive reviews, they are criminals.
