Southside have managed our three Edinburgh properties since we moved overseas nearly 3 years ago, and I cannot fault their service. They have excellent procedures in place, very organised and thorough regarding tenant search, maintenance, regulatory checks etc. We always receive our rent on time and with deductions for the above clearly itemised and explained. Allan has been our property manager for the last year, and has also done an excellent job. In particular we had an emergency sewerage leak at one flat, which he handled extremely well, keeping us informed, meeting with the loss adjuster, providing timely quotes and pictures etc. This meant our insurance claim was paid promptly despite us living literally thousands of miles away. I recommend both him and the company highly.
Comment on agent fees
Very good value for money and compares well to other agents in the Edinburgh area. I particularly like that marketing costs are included in the monthly fee so you are never suddenly hit with big bills and the agency has an incentive to find good, long-term tenants. Lower % charged for properties with existing tenants.
