If I could leave -1000 stars I would. Even legal organisations for Tenants cannot believe that this agency is still working now days ( considering all the time they have been sued by tenants).
First of all they will push you to pay a deposit to secure the room. The problem is that the price changes completely when you go into the agency, the room you selected is most likely gone and you will be advised to view other rooms ( or to pay a deposit without even viewing a room).
The deposit is not protected as it should be in ALL cases in UK. They even claim that under 62 days contract your deposit is not meant to be protected, which is just plain illegal. The problem is that by not protecting the deposit even the landlords are not protected, because if a tenants destroys the house, the money cannot be deducted from the deposit ( as it's not legally protected). So this deposit is at the loss of tenants and landlords and will make the pockets of Citiside just bigger.
I have been waiting for ages for the deposit and I had to call about twice a week in order to get an answer from this "unicorn-wannabe" called the Deposit Team. I call it Unicorn because apparently they have no office, no address, no phone numbers, only a mystical and not so used e-mail address, which they will use on rare occasions, like their brain.
The replies are all standards with things such as "shortly" " in few days" "processing" which has a simple meaning " you'll never see the money back in your account.
Now the real tips is, since your deposit is not protected you can do a claim to the court and get free money on top of your deposit as they didn't follow the law. There are agencies here and there that help you doing that in change of 30% of the refund you get, which I'd say TOTALLY WORTH IT.
Stay away from it, they have no shame in conducting such a lurid, dodgy business but I'm sure Karma, or law in this case will hit them right on their forehead sooner or later.
