ur experience with foxtons has been nothing short of stressful, agonising and downright frustrating!
Our property manager would constantly ignore our emails. We asked for the gas safety certificate multiple times as this is a requirement and we also asked for the inventory TWICE and never received it.
When we moved in our dishwasher was broken and this was tripping the electricity for the whole flat which could have been extremely dangerous, and yet, it took many many chaser emails and 3 months for foxtons to do anything about it. We told foxtons of a leaking tap in the bathroom, and were told they'd get back to us, which, no surprise, they never did.
Moving out of the flat was incredibly stressful when this should have been an easy process. We found a replacement for ourselves and told foxtons and then never heard anything regarding whether he had been accepted, if he had signed tenancy agreements, anything. We chased multiple times and were blatantly ignored. When I finally spoke to her she told me I needed to speak to the manager. I was given his email and I emailed him twice, and he ignored it. I called him multiple times and when I finally got through he said "it's all sorted". Why I needed to go through all this stress and waiting a week to speak to him just to tell me that I have NO IDEA.
They then completely breached the law in taking almost a month to return our deposit. We never received a deposit protection certificate, and when I told the property manager this he said something along the lines of "I'm confident you would have received it" - when he had sent us a copy... That had not been signed by us... Or foxtons. We had never seen one before.
I could not be more happy to be out of our tenancy with foxtons and there is absolutely no way I would go near them again. Their service is absolutely terrible and they don't care about the tenants at all.
