Would never use again the most disappointing service I have ever paid for, I could have saved money and done a better job if I managed the property myself! deserves no stars.
Issues I encountered:
Do not respond back to emails.
Do not notify you of extra keys needed and then expect the Landlord to meet tenant and drop off the keys on the day.
Don't check over the paperwork properly and then lie about it when you inquire.
Send you tenancy contracts at the last minute expecting a quick response back.
Send you correspondence to the letting address, despite being told the new address.
Do not help you through any process especially disputes with tenants, you are left to do everything on your own towards end of tenancy and they do not offer you help or guidance despite paying for a full manages service.
Do not close the account and keep any monies they owe, you have to continuously chase for this.
Not worth paying for the inventory through Connells as they use a company one of the staff working at Connell's owns, inventory completed is of very poor quality.

I dont recommend Stevenage branch, unprofessional and rude management. We will definitly never use Connells to buy a property. They try to illegally force their mortgage advisors on you too. Overall terrible experience...

The service is quite poor considering the support system offered when trying to get your deposit back. I cant believe its almost 4 weeks after moving out and they keep debating with the land lord over a toilet seat which is under DPS Scheme (wear and tear policy). Its totally shocking. I wouldn't recommend. Look else where. Service its utterly important. Connells are shit, I'm sorry to say. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Own the problem, deal with it professionally, maybe even make a small gesture to the buyer to reflect acknowledgement of the issues and stop being so high and mighty about the contract being for the introduction and not the level of service!

Connells went for a fixed fee, but the agent did mention at the time of signing that if the property sold for more than the asking price then they would be entitled to an additional fee. I later found out that this is specifically forbidden as a practice in the guidelines issues by the Property Ombudsmen, a scheme which Connells is signed up to.
