After doing a bit of research and getting a number of Estates agents to value our property and chat with us we decided to go with Iain at Beresford as we felt he was genuine, honest and a good communicator, and we were not disappointed! He was very clear throughout, about the true value of the property, what potential buyers would be looking at, the state of the market etc. When he did find a buyer he aided negotiations on price rapidly with no hidden agenda. We very much felt he facilitated the sale rather than trying to put buyer and seller at odds, which has been my experience with other estate agents. Sam also played a part and was equally clear and honest. Both were very diligent in keeping us up to date with the other party and pushing us when it was required! Having moved into another property (rental) through a different well established agent in the area I can't describe the vast difference in service, and we came very close to making a complaint to the ombudsman about this other agent due, to put it mildly, lack of and confused communication. If you want as near to a stress free, honest, clear and smoothly facilitated sale as possible within UK law go with Iain and Sam at Beresford! Thanks guys.

I clearly stated that I would like to be contacted via e-mails so did not understand why the agent attempted to call me at all. Even if that wasn't stated, I would still expect an e-mail follow up or when the agent plans to call, they normally double check the contact details.
