One word describes this outfit of alleged rental agents - dire. From the first communication to the last it was incredibly painful.
The first complaint is the fee the agent charges - £1000 for my wife and I. Not bad one might think - but it is very poor as the first time we actually approached the agent for the issues we found with the property on moving in - we were redirected to the landlord without any support. In essence all we got for the £1000 was a receipt and of course a good vetting from an independent body they referred us to for credit checks etc.
Despite having no central heating for the last 3 months, we decided not to pursue as it was just too painful dealing with the agents. The fact we had young children without heating nor that we had no idea they would not be managing the property, fell on deaf, unsympathetic ears.
To add insult to injury we were inconvenienced for inspections throughout our stay once we gave notice and were told to be available as the agents did not have keys to gain entry. We politely advised them to deal with the landlord and not with us :)
The final straw was the check out. We were recommended to use their cleaners at £400 to clean after we finished our tenancy. However we elected to spend the final week doing it all ourselves from top to bottom. We were then deducted £125 for the pleasure of the agent inspecting our property only to be told there were cut nails on the carpet and a small dent in the wall.
All in all a dreadful experience and I would implore you not to use this unprofessional agency unless you want a constant headache.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Just be as proactive as I was when dealing with money, and always kept a 'professional' tone when dealing with them as I did. They need to give more to earn back there Kharma. Dom.Attached Filesnbsp;

This suposed ex-tenant must be confusing my Company with someone else, we do not offer unmodernised houses for rental as they would not conform to Health and Safety standards. We do offer rooms for rent at the low end starting at around £275 pcm, the cheapest House we rented in 2011 was £750 pcm, we have family detached homes at around £1,300 pcm, a variety of houses for students and currently a 5 bedroom home near Pangbourne asking £2,400 pcm. ...

Obviously this comment is untrue as we do not or have ever had a property with an oil heating system on our books.

I can't believe that they would do this as we had a problem and it was sorted the very next day!
The staff were ever so friendly and if the people who wrote the above actually read the terms and conditions they were supplied they would have seen all the charges. Check out fee is to be expected on all rental properties, well all the ones we have rented too have check out fees. ...
