From the very beginning of the process we felt totally supported by the Helmores team. At the beginning mainly James (but sometimes Becky) looked after those tricky negotiations between us and our buyer. James was efficient and very reliable. He came from a place of good authority which made us feel we could trust him and that he was on our side. Later we moved mainly to Loren as sales progressor. Everyone needs a Loren! She was the interface between us, the solicitors and the other agents. We all know what solicitors can be like and she was wonderful in getting in there asking the questions and constantly chasing all the parties on our behalf. I don't think we would have exchanged so easily without her help. Thanks to all of you!
Comment on agent fees
We have not yet paid the fees. We were told at the beginning that Helmores was not one of the cheapest but we chose to go with quality. We were also told that there might be room for negotiation on this fee.

Covid 19 struck the UK in March 2020, the initial damp was reported in January 2019, and it took till October 2019 to carry out any inspection. A report was passed to Helmores shortly after this in early November 2019. Sadly, the landlords wife did pass also in March 2020. So both incidents you mentioned occurred 14 months after the damp was raised & 5 months after the report.
