We have had a bad experience from beginning to end with Carsons Bracknell. Since August there has been no one managing the lettings side and we have many grievances against them that we are currently taking up with their parent, Countrywide.
All the problems stem from putting an inappropriate tenant into our flat and not following our instructions not to have anyone on benefits. They have no record of any proper agreement with the guarantor. We had to serve a section 21 order to remove the tenant and have over £5K of outstanding rent. The guarantor agreed to pay this off but there has been no follow up by the rent collection team at Countrywide. There were three breaches of the property ombudsmen code of practice. we have no one to talk to at branch as it redirects to the Maidenhead office. We haven't been able to sort out having the tenant's deposit to cover all the expenses incurred to get the property fit to rent again. Don't be wowed by a cheap management fee, I think in this instance you get what you pay for!
